CORPORATE HMI DESIGN

OMI | OMAS MULTIDEVICE INTERFACE
OMAS S.r.l.
2024

OMAS s.r.l., an Italian company specialized in manufacturing of advanced machinery for grain milling and cleaning, required a unified Human-Machine Interface (HMI) strategy across its machine portfolio.

The project involved the analysis of four main machine models: Leonardo, Giotto, Dante, and Galileo with the objective of creating a consistent and scalable user experience across different devices and operational contexts.

SOLUTION

AGD LAB, as a specialist in Industrial UI/UX and HMI Design, defined a unified interaction framework based on a detailed analysis of machine workflows and operator needs.

OBJECTIVES
  • Create a common HMI interface applicable to all machine models

  • Ensure usability across multiple devices: Panel PC, Tablet, and Mobile

  • Improve operator efficiency through clear and intuitive interaction design

  • Enable data personalization and flexible visualization for different user roles

    DEVELOPMENT

The entire project was designed and developed using mappView within B&R Automation Studio, ensuring full integration with the automation environment and optimal performance in industrial conditions.

The solution included the creation of a scalable design system and interface architecture adaptable to different machines and devices, ensuring consistency, usability, and future extensibility.
